Eligibility: 2dan and above. 1dan and below (high skill level) may attend as shiai-sha (bento will be provided).
What to bring:
- Dress in keikogi, hakama, tare
- Shinpanki, mejirushi, referee handbook, energetic attitude
- Kendo dogu and be prepared to do shiai
Must attend the full day for credit towards promotion requirements
Bento fees: $12.00 (Except 7 Dan sensei and volunteer shiai-sha)

No entry fee for competitors, so please consider a donation at the tournament

Eligibility: 3dan and above applicants must have participated in at least one shinpan seminar and one kata seminar
Cover letter must be signed by dojo head instructor (please use it as a check list for requirements)
Written Tests for 1kyu through 4dan applicants shall be submitted online prior to the shinsa - SCKF written test form (pdf)
Shinsa fees for SCKF participants (Note: fees have increased starting in 2025)
- $30 kyu (both youth and adults, at dojo and at shinsa)
- $40 1dan
- $50 2dan
- $60 3dan
- $70 4dan
- $20 No Show Fee
